Demoboost Capture 2.0 extension needs to be installed separately in your browser. Screens you create with this version will only be compatible with other 2.0 screens, in demos made with the 2.0 Tours functionality.
Step 1: Open the Demoboost 2.0 extension. Note that the icon is different from the old extension.
Step 2: Select the demo you want to add screens to.
Demos created with 2.0 Capture will appear in black, while those made with 1.0 Capture and Tours will be shown in grey. You can only add screens to demos in 2.0 Tours, and the screens will be named automatically.
Step 3: You can select ‘Create new demo’ if you want to start from scratch and save it.
Step 4: After choosing the demo, select ‘Open capturing menu’ and click the ‘Demoboost 2.0’ icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. Then, choose your preferred capturing option for the demo.
Step 5: Select ‘Single capture’ to capture one screen at a time, and click the camera icon to start capturing..
Step 6: The capture process will begin. Make sure you don't leave the webpage or click anywhere until the capture is finished. You’ll see a ‘Screen Captured’ message once it's done.
Step 7: The ‘capture toolbar’ will appear for all capturing options, and you’ll see three icons on it.
The icon on the left lets you view all the captured screens without opening the editor. You can also delete screens on the go.
The center icon lets you change the demo without opening the extension.
The icon on the right lets you open the Demoboost editor in a new tab.
Select ‘x’ on the capture toolbar to exit the current capture option and reopen the capture menu.
Step 8: Once you're back in the capture menu, select ‘Multi Capture’.
With Multi Capture, you can capture multiple screens in a row as the extension follows your click path automatically. You no longer have to specify the demo target, the name and the capture start for every click. Instead - just watch the extension do all this for you.
Click the video icon to capture multiple screens at a time.
Step 9: Wait for the ‘Screen captured’ message to appear, then move to the next screen you'd like to capture. Repeat this process to capture all the required screens, and click the red button to stop multi capture when you're done.
Again, select ‘x’ on the capture toolbar to exit the current capture option and reopen the capture menu.
Step 10: To capture disappearing dropdowns and popups, you can use the ‘5s Timed Capture’. This feature starts capturing the screen 5 seconds after you click the ‘capture’ button.
Click the ‘5s’ button to start the capture, then hover over the dropdown or wait for the popups. Once the countdown finishes, the capture will be completed.
Step 13: Click the ‘Quit’ button once you’re done capturing all your screens.
